What is the dress code for the Wedding?

We may not be getting married in Spain - but we can still dress like it! The dress code for the wedding is formal: think European with bright and fun colours.

What is the dress code for the BBQ?

There is no set dress code for the night before the wedding, so we encourage you to wear what you feel comfortable standing and hanging out in. That said if you are someone who likes a little guidance, think "elevated casual", or BBQ-chic. In case it makes a difference to your decision, our amazing photographer will be there for a period of the night to help capture these extra memories.

Will transportation be provided on the wedding day?

For those who are staying at Jade Resort and Taku Resort, we will be providing a shuttle service to and from the wedding venue (Gowlland Harbour Resort) on the day/night of the wedding. We will provide more details on this closer-to the wedding date. Please note there is no taxi/rideshare service on Quadra Island.

What about food?

We have arranged for a BBQ dinner on June 28th, a wedding day breakfast and dinner on June 29th, and a pizza party dinner on June 30th for all guests. We will be asking for a small contribution from guests who are attending the wedding day breakfast and pizza party. More details to come. For other meals, please see the "Things to Do" section of our website for breakfast and lunch restaurant/cafe recommendations. There is also a grocery store on Quadra Island for those with kitchenettes. All rooms regardless of size and resort have a fridge.

Do I have to attend the full 3 nights?

Because we are excited to bring our loved ones together for more than just one night, and because most accomodations require a 3-night stay in the summer, this is a 3-night event. By RSVPing "yes", you are RSVPing to three nights of accommodation. There will of course be lots of freedom to choose your own journey and do your own thing, and all activities on the third day (June 30th) are optional. If you have any questions about this, please don't hesitate to reach out.

How do I know where I'm staying?

Due to limited capacity on the island and to ensure all our guests have a place to stay near the wedding venue, we have booked accommodations at Gowlland Harbour Resort and the neighbouring Jade Resort and Taku Resort. We will be creating an accommodation plan based on our final guestlist. Everyone who RSVP'ed "yes" to attending should have received an email confirming your accommodation details and costs. Please reach out to us if you have not received this information and we'll get it to you asap.

Are children invited to the wedding?

While we’d love to welcome toddlers on the wedding day (ceremony and reception), we have limited capacity at the wedding venue as well as in accommodations. If you are breastfeeding, please feel free to bring your little one along. Otherwise, we ask that you please make arrangements for child care on the wedding day.
